What Happened to ESPN?

I have been a long time supporter of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight program. It used to be a great program to watch. They used to show a ton of highlights and sprinkeld in some analysis. It has evolved over the last few years into something that has become unbearable to watch. I’m speaking specifically about the late night showing of the program. I don’t have time to sit down and watch it for an hour at 8PM MST.

ESPN’s overall programming has gone down, especially Baseball Tonight and Sportscenter. Last year, they added it to their trifecta. Twenty minutes does not do the night of baseball justice. The other night, instead of showing highlights, they have an interview with some player. Give me some highlights and stats! They have reduced them to a short version without showing any stats.

Last night, I decided to stop recording Baseball Tonight and settle for ESPN News. Now I will be able to catch the nightly highlights in all of sports and get the stats I want. Baseball Tonight used to be the best show on TV. ESPN used to be the best channel on TV (another topic for another day).
