This past weekend my family and I went to St. George Utah to visit my family. It’s always nice to return to St. George to visit friends and family.
There is one thing that I don’t like about going there. St. George is messy. That’s not to say that it is full of garbage and other stuff that contributes (or doesn’t) to a city’s cleanliness. But I am saying that the city’s layout is horrible.
St. George has grown too fast and the people involved have not planned for it well. The growth, it seems, has slapped them in the face. I say this because it seems to take longer than it should to get anywhere. I say this as an outsider looking in. I say this because I know St. George can be a great city.

I know some people in St. George who are afraid to go to Las Vegas or to Disneyland or the beach because they say they’re afraid to drive those places. But you know - St. George is by far the scariest place I’ve ever driven.
That’s what you get when 90% of the drivers in your town were taught to drive by Mr. Olson… going 4 miles an hour around the temple.
The other reason it takes so long to get anywhere in St. George… everyone’s going “Mr. Olson around the temple” speed still.
What do you expect when everyone is Mr. Olson’s age?
