On Tuesday, I started a Basic Landscape Design class at Thanksgiving Point. I need some ideas so I can make our yard look good. And then I need some money to implement it.
The bad thing is is that I have homework again. I’m starting to remember how it felt to go to school. I always hated the feeling of knowing I had homework but no desire to do it. My assignment is to plot out the current start of our landscape. It shouldn’t be too bad. One of the reasons I actually took the class was to get this type of stuff done. Now I just need to do it and not wait until the last minute.
Does anybody have any good ideas for a landscape design?

I had a GREAT idea for landscaping, but my wife shot it down before I was even done explaining it. First, to cut down on the need and frequency of lawn mowing, rip up all the grass. Then pave that area where the grass used to be. This is where my wife lost interest in my idea, but stick with me.
Next you put in a couple of hoops facing each other, and you paint some three-point lines and stuff, and then… your landscaping is complete! No more lawn mowing… lots more basketball. Nothing wrong with that!
I like Shane’s idea. I also am a big fan of desert landscape. There is no mowing of the lawn and it still looks good providing you can get the wife out there to pick the weeds.
That would definitely be the easiest. My wife is not going to help out at all. She has never touched a weed in her life.
Hi!
