After working for them for 14 years, today is my last day of work at Albertsons. I have mixed feelings about all of it.
I gave my notice 3 1/2 weeks ago. It seems like forever ago. I have tried to tie up all loose ends. I have tried to say good-bye to everybody. Towards the end, I have realized the thing I will miss most is the people I have worked with throughout the years.
I feel that because of Albertsons and the team I have worked on, I have gotten off to a good start to my career. The time has come where I have to move on to move up. The decision was hard to make, especially without another job to go to.
When people ask me what I will be doing in Seattle, I have responded that first order of business will be to find a job (for some reason, everybody thinks you should have a job before you move your family). This is usually followed by a look that asks me silently if I am out of my mind. It is risky what I am doing. But I know things will work out.
So to all of my friends and colleagues at Albertsons-thank you for everything. I wish you all the best. Please come back or subscribe to this blog to keep up to date on what is happening in my life. I promise good and exciting times. And please keep me informed on your lives.

Hi Josh,
I hope all is well and wanted to check-in to see how things are going.
Just got back from vacation–didn’t go anywhere, but got to work on my house. Did some drywall, stained moulding, cleaned and organized–stuff like that. Hopefully I will be done over the next year or two.
I was hoping for some decent weather so I could put the kayak in, but that was not in the cards. Hopefully next weekend or the one after will be better.
Good to hear you are doing well.
